I believe that there are times in everyone’s life when they need assistance in navigating life’s journey.  During my many years working in social services, I have assisted children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of disabilities and mental illnesses in both residential and vocational settings.  This includes working with individuals who possess challenging behavioral issues.  During my 13 years working in this particular field, I have held positions such as Intake Coordinator, Program manager, and Case manager.

 

I also have spent time as a therapist working with the senior citizen population providing counseling and case management to promote personal change and well being during this often difficult stage in life. I particularly enjoy working with the elderly, and those that are medically compromised, in rehab facilities, or on hospice.  In addition, the area of adoption as it pertains to adoptees and families of adoptees is an area of great interest and passion for me.

 

I currently hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Elmhurst College.
